Meet Jean Junior Cineas

In addition to Junior’s role as the Romans Project National Facilitator for Haiti, here is how he describes his other ministry roles, “I am a pastor-teacher, disciple-maker, and church planter. I go anywhere the Lord sends me—anywhere He is at work. I join Him and partner with Him as a servant of the Lord. He leads me where He wants me to go or to be. He guides me in fulfilling His purpose and spreading His love to others. I trust in His divine guidance and follow His will faithfully.”

Junior first heard of the Romans Project in 2022 while teaching a group of people how to make disciples. Dan Wanvig, the former RP National Facilitator and airplane mechanic with MAF who was stationed in Haiti at the time, introduced Junior to the RP and he accepted the initial challenge. Junior realized how important and impactful it was to him. With Dan only in Haiti temporarily, Junior felt led to become a facilitator in order to encourage his fellow Haitian pastors to accept the Challenge - and they loved it! Junior had this to say, “The Project helped us deepen our understanding of the Bible and strengthened our faith. It also fostered a sense of unity and collaboration among us as we worked toward a common goal. Our churches have been positively impacted by the teachings and principles we learned through the Romans Project.”

Hear from Junior how serving as the National Facilitator has blessed him and his fellow pastors, “Each time I hear how people are blessed by the message in the book of Romans, it impacts me and puts joy in my heart. The most exciting thing is that when you read the book 20 times and write it down, it’s like you are saving the words. The Challenge makes it easier every time we’re preaching. We can see the message more accessible from the book of Romans, and you can include Romans every time you preach. Even if you’re not preaching from the epistle, Romans help you connect the gospel with the Old Testament. Its systematic way of unfolding the Gospel shows how the Old and New Testaments intertwine.”

What pastors are saying…

Doing the Romans Challenge helps me to preach better. The challenge helps me to be always ready to preach, any time.
